The Cobb+Co Hanging Basket competition as part of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is sure to delight this year. The museum will present a spectacular display of hanging baskets created by Toowoomba community members.
Our award winning gardener ‘Stewart Dorman’ together with some of our best green thumb residents, have been working on our 2019 hanging basket entry. Together they are creating a themed hanging basket which this year is POWER OF THE FLOWER. The hanging basket will be on display at the Cobb+Co Museum from Friday 20th September to Sunday 29th September 9.30am to 4pm daily.
Each year Stuart and several of the residents put their thinking caps on and come up with a creative idea to match the theme . The planning and planting starts approximately 12 weeks from receiving as a competitor an empty hanging basket, some soil & packets of seeds. We can’t give too much away at this stage as we don’t want our competitors sneaking a peak, but we can tell you it will be our best yet.
In 2016 Glenvale Villas placed 2rd in this category and 2017 again placed second, its looking like 2019 is our year, Winners are Grinners….
