We only charge you for what you use, and when you use it, because your care is completely individualised. What you need and when you need it.
If you need more help it’s simple to increase your care and support levels. If you need less help after recovering from an illness or similar, then you can dial back the care and support and pay less. It’s all done in conjunction with your doctor, family and our own Director of Care.
Many aged care communities will set and charge for levels of care regardless of the level of care you require. This means you may be quite healthy but are assessed to a certain level of care, and cost, that you never need.
Paying for more care than you need can be costly if you live there for many years. Other independent aged care living communities ask you to pay into a general fund which caters for all residents’ care, meaning you could be paying for someone else’s care if they need more than you. The idea is that it evens out when you require more care in the future, but that hardly seems fair.
