Lynn Giddings one of Glenvale Villa’s original residents has called Glenvale Villas home for the past 12 years. Lynn’s love and passion for gardening and plants, especially clivias is an amazing credit to her. Wheelchair bound for many years has never stopped her love for gardening and in particular the plant “clivias”. She has a spectacular garden both at the front and back of her home at Glenvale Villas and even has some sheep (garden ornaments)!
Over the years Lynn has planted and donated many clivias to Glenvale Villas which enhance several gardens throughout the village with their stunning blooms that vary in colour from pale yellow, orange to red. The fragrant, trumpet-like flowers retain their foliage all year round.
Lynn and Glenvale Villa’s former gardener, Gary, spent many hours in the gardens striking different variations of clivias which today are sold throughout nurseries. Lynn names her clivias after family members and friends. How lucky is Glenvale Villa’s to have such a generous resident, so wonderfully talented with an amazing green thumb? Stewart our current award-winning gardener takes special pride in nurturing our clivia gardens and works closely with Lynn to keep creating these amazing plants and their spectacular colours.
